Confidence and solutions

My husband, David, and I have been meditating for over seven years now and we try never to miss our twice-daily dose.

What has it done for us? When David was at work he attended a morning meeting at which he could have spoken out to other members of staff. However, he was so embarrassed and self-conscious that he always declined to say anything. Now he is retired and a leader for a local organisation—on occasions he stands up in front of twenty or more people and delivers an excellent speech.

As for me, sometimes after a meditation I seem to come up with some kind of solution to a small problem that has been bothering me. We both also believe that meditation is a great reviver–particularly on long-haul flights. Overall, we really dislike missing our twice-daily sessions of meditation.

You certainly could not wish for a more delightful couple to oversee the teaching of meditation and the Monday night sessions are often peppered with humour and laughter. Any and every kind of question is answered with honesty and clarity. As meditators–as we now consider ourselves to be – we cannot recommend this practice highly enough.
